What is BGMI Lite?
BGMI Lite is the brand new, optimized version of the popular battle royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India, designed for low to mid range mobile devices. On August 16, 2026, Krafton officially announced BGMI Lite across its official channels. This lite version will feature a super smooth adaptation of traditional BGMI graphics to prevent lag on low end devices. Additionally, BGMI Lite will support cross-play matchmaking across both versions of the game.
BGMI Lite Pre-register Link
BGMI Lite pre-registration is officially live starting August 25, 2026. Currently it is only open for Android users on Google Play Store only. iOS users will need to wait a few more days as per Krafton announcement.

But don’t get to much excited. You will not get early access to any official APK file just yet. Stay calm and don’t fall for anyone sharing any kind of fake apk file. Once the game is officially released, it will be available directly on the Google Play Store.
BGMI Lite Release Date
Although officially not announced but still according to the major trusted source BGMI Lite set to launch in India along with Battlegrounds Mobile India’s 4.7 update release around 1st or 2nd week November 2026.
BGMI Lite File Size
For Android users the initial file size will be around 1 GB and for iOS users it will be around 2 GB.
It will not be like the traditional BGMI size, which expands almost 10 GB easily after downloading all resources and causes huge lag on low end mobile devices.
